Create a new card

First, make sure you have Cards app installed on your phone. You can install Cards from our download page. After the installation, make sure you complete the sign up wizard.


  1. Tap on the top right + button

  2. Type in your organization's name (i.e. "McDonald's") and tap on the lower button.
    If a card exists under your organization's name, it means a consumer already added it. You can easily claim ownership of it. (see Claim Card Ownership)

  3. Make sure the card name is correct

  4. Choose card icon

  5. Choose card use
    i.e. if you intend to access places with the card, just like an RFID tag, choose Access. If this is a simple loyalty card consumers would use to identify at the POS (Point of Sale), choose Loyalty. (see Card Uses)

Congratulations! you have created your first digital card. You can manage this new card using our online card dashboard. (see Card Management)

Claim card ownership

If a card exists under your organization's name, it means a consumer already added it and it's marked 'Community Powered'.
You can easily claim ownership of it by writing to support@cards.app.
Please enclose high quality scans of the following documents:

  1. A valid identification paper
  2. Business ownership proof
  3. A statement, signed by an executive in the organization, stating you have the right to manage a card under the organization name
Sending these documents from the official organization email domain will speed up the process.
After we validate the ownership proof, an 'ownsership transfer' email will be sent to you, which means you will be the sole administrator of this card. This process will also automatically mark the card 'Official', rather than 'Community Powered', which will increase its organic popularity.
